Accessing Your Email via Webmail

Accessing Your Email via Webmail

Kapsule Mail includes a browser-based webmail client at webmail.kapsulecloud.com. You can use it from any device without setting up a mail app.

The webmail URL

https://webmail.kapsulecloud.com

This address is the same for all Kapsule mailboxes, regardless of your domain name.

Logging in

  1. Go to webmail.kapsulecloud.com.
  2. Enter your full email address as the username (e.g. you@yourdomain.com).
  3. Enter your mailbox password.
  4. Click Sign In.

Your mailbox password is separate from your KPanel account password. If you have not set or do not know your mailbox password, see the section below on resetting it.

Opening webmail directly from KPanel

KPanel provides a one-click shortcut that signs you in automatically:

  1. Log in to kpanel.kapsulecloud.com and click Email in the left menu.
  2. Click on the mailbox you want to access.
  3. On the mailbox detail page, click Open Webmail in the top right corner.

This opens webmail in a new tab without needing to type your password.

The same button also appears on the Setup tab of the mailbox detail page, in the Webmail section.

What webmail client is used?

Kapsule Mail uses Stalwart, a modern, standards-compliant mail server. The webmail interface is the Stalwart built-in client. It supports:

  • Reading, composing, and organising email
  • Folders and labels
  • Searching across your mailbox
  • Attachments up to the configured limit
  • Sieve filter management (via the Filters tab in KPanel)

Resetting your mailbox password

If you cannot log in to webmail because you have forgotten the password:

  1. Open KPanel and click Email.
  2. Click on the mailbox.
  3. Click the Password tab.
  4. Enter a new password or click Generate to create a strong one.
  5. Click Update Password.

You can optionally tick Email new password to account owner before saving, which sends the new credentials to the account email address.

Using webmail on mobile

Webmail at webmail.kapsulecloud.com works in mobile browsers. For a better experience on your phone, consider setting up the mailbox natively using IMAP -- it works with the built-in Mail apps on iPhone and Android. See Setting Up Email on iPhone and Android.

IMAP and SMTP settings

If you prefer to use a desktop or mobile email client (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.) rather than webmail, the connection settings are:

Incoming mail (IMAP)

  • Server: mail.kapsulecloud.com
  • Port: 993
  • Security: SSL/TLS
  • Username: your full email address

Outgoing mail (SMTP)

  • Server: mail.kapsulecloud.com
  • Port: 465
  • Security: SSL/TLS
  • Username: your full email address

These settings are also shown on the Setup tab of your mailbox in KPanel. See Configuring Your Email in Outlook, Apple Mail, and Mobile for step-by-step instructions per client.

Trouble signing in to webmail?

Incorrect password: Use the password reset steps above. Your webmail password is set in KPanel, not at the webmail URL itself.

Mailbox still provisioning: Newly created mailboxes take 5--15 seconds to provision. If you just created it, wait a moment and try again. The status on the mailbox detail page in KPanel will show "Active" once it is ready.

Account suspended: If you have outstanding billing issues, access to some features may be restricted. Check your account status in KPanel under Billing.

If you are still unable to log in after trying the above, open a support ticket from KPanel and include your mailbox email address.
