Adding or changing your payment method
Your payment method is used for plan renewals and any charges at the end of a trial. You can add or update it at any time from the Billing page.
Where to manage your payment method
Go to Billing in the left sidebar. The Payment method card shows your current saved card:
- Card brand and last 4 digits (e.g. "Visa ending 4242")
- Expiry date
- A "Manage saved cards" link for full card management
Adding a payment method
If no card is on file, the Payment method card shows: "No card on file. Add one before your trial ends."
- Click Add payment method
- Enter your card details in the Stripe form that appears
- Click Save, the card is securely stored and ready for renewals
Updating your payment method
To replace an existing card with a new one:
- Click Manage saved cards in the Payment method card
- Add your new card
- Attach it to your subscription (each subscription has its own attached card)
Attaching a card to a subscription
If you have multiple subscriptions or saved cards, each subscription can have a different card attached. To change which card a subscription charges:
- Go to Billing → Subscriptions → [your plan]
- Find the Renewal Card panel
- It shows the currently attached card or "No card attached to this subscription"
- Use the buttons shown to attach a saved card or add a new one
During a free trial
If you're on a free trial, your first charge happens when the trial ends. The billing page shows: "First charge {amount} when trial ends {date}."
Cloud Start is free for 30 days, a card is required on file for renewal. Pro, Scale, and Power plans bill immediately but include a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Tip: Add a payment method as soon as you start your trial. Without a card on file, your services may be suspended when the trial ends.
